Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is a complementary therapy which aims to treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile.  It is useful for a number of problems that affect the muscles, tendons and bones.  Usually combined with other modalities for an effective outcome.  

 

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Lymphoedema/Chronic Oedema (MLD/CDT) - 'Dr Vodder'

MLD - The gentle approach.  An excellent compliment for those Detoxing their system.

Lymphoedema Management/Chronic Oedema is a huge concern.  Many with this condition are post Cancer, General Surgery (Secondary Lymphoedema) clients, some are born with the condition (Primary Lymphoedema), and few are Palliative care related although in some instances a kidney or heart condition could be the cause.  Generally a Specialists approval to undertake this type of massage is required beforehand, MLD/CDT is required specifically for all but the latter.   I am able to treat this condition and give advice to those who need to have information about their condition and how best to manage it.  Referring on for any bandaging and or garment measuring if necessary.
